The German probate research company Erbenermittlung Dr. Noczenski GmbH in Gera has been working for estate administrators and probate courts national and internationally since 1997. During this time the company’s founder, Dr. Noczenski, saw to it that unclarified estate matters were handled both effectively and thoroughly and that missing heirs were located successfully. The special archive for forensic genealogy which grew over time and with much investment is second to none. Since 2016, Dr. Hans-J. Noczenski GmbH has been a subsidiary of the heir search company GEN Gesellschaft für Erbenermittlung mbH. This guarantees that also in the future all probate cases will be handled with the highest degree of professionalism. Both companies profit together from a worldwide network of their own subsidiaries and correspondents.
Eight probate researchers are currently employed at our office in Thuringia – including three historians and two attornies. They have excellent contact to archives, civil registration offices and district courts. The peculiarities of inheritance law in the Civil Code of the former German Democratic Republic, agrarian reform after the Second World War and the archives of Thuringia, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt present specific challenges and regularly play a central role in our work.
